 "TV Wall Mount" 2010-06-25

Great product. It was very easy to install by myself other than actually hanging the TV onto the wall plate. I will buy this again if I ever need to mount another TV.

Could not be any easier to install. It functions as smooth as silk. It's solid as a rock, super well made and worth every penny.

"This Mount is Heavy Duty" 2010-05-04
By L. Cambio (N. Hollywood, CA)
I am one of the pickiest people on planet earth and this TV mount was easy to install and solid quality, I used a level but you don't have to since you can adjust it's tilt.

Again, it's sturdy and it comes with all kinds of attachments for many different TV's.

I would buy it again.

 "Perfect" 2010-02-16
By Mom (NJ, USA)
I wanted a TV mount to provide adjustments to mount a TV fairly high on a wall and left of the viewing position. This meant it needed to angle to one side and down in order to point the TV at the viewing position. I wanted a mount that would hold its tilt easily and would securely hold a VIZIO 37" 1080p Class Slim LCD 120Hz HDTV - Black (SV370XVT). This mount is ideal.

I'm an engineer, so I examined TV mounts from that perspective. This one is simple in design, overengineered where it counts, easy to install, and easy to use. The metal is thick, the hinge is heavy yet smooth, the tilt mechanism is solid and secure. In short, it's perfect.

Mounting is as easy as measuring the bracket's position when attached to the rear of the TV to find its offset relative to the edges of the screen and subtracting the appropriate offset(s) from the desired screen position to find the mounting bracket's wall position. You then need to adjust the position to the nearest stud, because drywall can't support the weight and angular force generated by the TV held away from the wall. Use a level to keep the mounting plate plumb, then mark and drill three holes and secure the plate to the wall. Finally, with the bracket still attached to the screen, lift it into position onto the mounting plate. A couple of screws secure the bracket to the plate, et voila!

Adjusting the tilt is easy. Just loosen the large tension knob, tilt the screen to the desired position, and tighten the knob. It won't move regardless of where you rotate the screen on the hinge.

I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting full range motion for a screen within the size and weight limits of this mount.

(By the way, if you've ever wondered, the reason there are both weight and size limitations on such brackets is because of something called "moment arm." Think of lifting something heavy with your arm extended versus bent. When the weight is farther from your body, more force is required to lift that weight than when it is closer. A larger screen disperses its weight farther from the mount point and therefore puts more stress on the mounting bracket. Even if such a screen is within the weight limit for the bracket, it can exceed the design limits when that weight is spread too far from the bracket.)

"Specs say up to 40", but works beautifully on my 42"" 2010-02-15
By Rubén (US)
Works great on my Vizio 42" LCD. The TV's weight is about 38 lbs., and the wall mount's capacity is 100 lbs. I thought that perhaps the mounting plate might not be large enough for the TV, but there is plenty of room, especially since the mount comes with additional side plates to expand the mounting area for an even larger TV.

Easy to install, and in the 6 weeks I've had it up, it has required NO additional adjustments since the first day.

The ONE thing to be aware of is that it doesn't extend that far from the wall, so the range of rotation that the TV can go is LESS than the wall mount's actual range. This, of course, may or may not be a problem - - it depends on just how "off center" your needs are. Although our TV/mount does not rotate more than about 30°, we can very comfortably watch the TV when we're sitting 60° from the wall.

Bottom line, I would buy another one once I get a second LCD...
