Not that I'd try it, just saying this thing is a beast. Amazingly thick and heavy construction, tons of mounting hardware, fairly simple process. It is very low profile though, ended up needing some 90 degree HDMI adapters to get all my equipment hooked up. We mounted a 46inch Toshiba Regza LCD on a non-functioning brick fireplace and the mount feels as sturdy as I could have ever imagined. I'd actually worry about the brick failing before this mount, it's there to stay.

Heavy weight/heavy guage steel construction. Big, thick lag bolts. Extra lag bolts and washers and screws and spacers, etc. for nearly any brand or installation configuration. Mounts on regular walls or masonary. Has all the neccessary hardware for it all. Installed yesterday. First time installing on the wall. Very simple for a handyman or sorts. If you can use a drill, you can install these. Must be able to find the center of your wall studs then alls well. Adjusts up/down with one hand and slides on a track about 8" either way horizontally. This is the cadillac of the wall mount kits. My TV is a 37" VIZIO ECO. Mounted like a dream. HIGHLY rECOMMEND!!!

I bought this mount to place a 42" Sony LCD on bedroom wall in newer construction home. Once I located studs behind the drywall, installing mount was easy and was completed in less than 30 minutes. Mount holds TV very close to the wall allowing for just enough space to plug necesssary cables into the TV.
